We moved our offices after the first of the year, which turned out to be a far greater chore than we had anticipated. It is amazing how much paper and things one can accumulate. When you start sorting through papers, pictures and memorabilia, you really get a chance to tread down memory lane.

We were reminded of those ex-inmates who have gone on to meet the Lord; Stanley Lee, Dr. Bob Earl, Jerry Sanders, Guy Tatum.

Those men who’s memory still encourage us to continue on: Dr. C.E. McLain, Charley Jones, Joe Russell, Chuck Palmer, Coach Jack Brewer…

Have you noticed that today's "Messianic synagogues" are made up mostly of Gentiles, not Jews? Among some Christians there is the thinking that to partake of Jewish feasts, Jewish rituals, Jewish days and Jewish attire makes one more spiritual than a Gentile in a New Testament church. Even in the future Smyrna church during the tribulation period there will be people claiming to be Jews who are not (Revelation 2:8-10.)

Israel, today, is "Lo-ammi" (Hosea 1:9) meaning not My people. Israel's condition is described in Hosea 3:4:

Mid Acts and Jail (1 Corinthians an example)

Those who fail to discern the Acts 28 boundary and start the un-evolved, created Church in mid Acts are destined to fight the Acts context while attempting to harmonize the ordinances (traditions) then present with the age in which we live where none of these signs, wonders and traditions have any place. Reality and substance along with shadow were present in the time when Jew was first Rom. 1:16,17. This is especially clear in 1 Corinthians (see First Corinthians study):

When I began my christian life at the age of 21 in a small Baptist chuch in rural New Zealand I knew little of the bible and even less of its doctrine. I knew that I was saved by grace and that was a huge step from darkness to light, while not a library of knowledge it at least found me secure in the beloved.

"This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.  For men shall be lovers of their own selves..."  2 Timothy 3:1-2

The prevailing sign of the "last days" will be a misplacement of love.  The love of man will far exceed the love of God and His Son.  The love of man will far exceed one's love for integrity truth, righteousness and holiness.  In fact, statements in favor of the truth are now proclaimed as "hate speech" in many quarters.

"Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked of the wise men, was exceeding wroth, and sent forth, and slew all the children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the coasts thereof, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had diligently enquired of the wise men." Matthew 2:16

Herod had faked his desire to worship Jesus to the wise men (Matthew 2:8.) God knew of Herod's hatred and fear of Jesus, though only a Baby, and countered his deceit toward the Child (Matthew 2:12.)

The issue today, as was then, is not about holidays or holy days; not about commemorating Christmas or not; not about greeting people with "Merry Christmas" or "Happy Holidays." The firestorm centers around keeping Jesus Christ alive or allowing Him killed off by His enemies. The controversy is not about a manger scene, nativity display, a star in the east or wise men bringing gifts. The issue was then and is still now, is Jesus Christ the Saviour of the world?{C}

Introduction

There are some who would like to tell us that the church of whom Christ is head began in the middle of the book of Acts. This is done by appealing to various assumptions - some will argue that the gospel is the mystery and then show that "the gospel" was preached by Paul in Acts and therefore this age began in Acts (say Acts 13, 17 etc). This is often stated with zeal (Rom. 10:2) but does it measure up to the knowledge that PAul prays  the Colossians  (Col. 1:9) and Ephesians (Eph. 1:16-18) posses? This spirit of wisdom and revelation is a gift of the Father and therefore we should not assume all Christians posses it.

In the last book of the Old Testament, God commented:

“For I am the Lord, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.” Malachi 3:6

In light of today’s preaching and gospel presentations, God should have said, “I am the Lord, but I am going to change and not consume anybody” or “I am the Lord, but I have had a change of heart and everyone is my friend.”

Can you believe how stupid some highly educated people are becoming?  The Supreme Court of the United States takes it upon themselves to reverse nature.  For 6000+ years marriage has been between a man and a woman.  They are the only two beings that could obey God's commandment:

Probably no argument has been waxed longer or louder than the one over “Once saved, always saved.” Some have said that this belief honors Christ’s work on the cross; others say that it is a license to sin. “If I believed ‘once saved, always saved’ I would do anything I wanted to do,” is a familiar cry. Volumes have been written on both sides of this coin. A few years ago I wrote an article on “Twice lost, always lost;” revealing that if a person gets saved and then loses his salvation, he is forever doomed. There is no such thing in the Bible of a person getting saved twice!
