The mid-Acts position presupposes that with Paul came "The Mystery". That is there is little differentiation between Paul's Acts ministry and Post Acts ministry. There are some very heavy penalties for this mistake.

Eph 3:8 Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;

Eph 3:8 (TR) εμοι τω ελαχιστοτερω παντων των αγιων εδοθη η χαρις αυτη εν τοις εθνεσιν ευαγγελισασθαι τον ανεξιχνιαστον πλουτον του χριστου

The greek word translated "unsearchable" is the adjective ἀνεξιχνίαστος which is found here and in Rom. 11:33 where it is translated "past finding out".

The Wife, the Bride and the Body (συσσωμα)

Salvation is by grace but where do we realize our salvation, with what company and in what part of the Christ's realm? God's kingdom is vast and we can expect that God would have many companies of people to rule and take part in His administration. It is easy to locate the wife (Israel), the bride (overcomers) and the joint body (the church of which Christ is head). The last group and its hope is expounded in the special prison ministry of PAul.

Be ye followers of me

It was the apostle Paul who said:

KJV  1 Corinthians 11:1 Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.
TBT  1 Corinthians 11:1 μιμηταί μου γίνεσθε, καθὼς κἀγὼ Χριστοῦ.
KJV  1 Corinthians 11:2 Now I praise you, brethren, that ye remember me in all things, and keep the ordinances, as I delivered them to you.

The Olive Tree - are we graft in? This question seems to have an obvious answer. "Of course we are graft into the olive tree because that is what Romans 11:17 says!" Lets read it together:

17  (AV) And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert graffed in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree;
17  (TR) ει δε τινες των κλαδων εξεκλασθησαν συ δε αγριελαιος ων ενεκεντρισθης εν αυτοις και συγκοινωνος της ριζης και της πιοτητος της ελαιας εγενου

Before answering this we will back up a little and discover important and interesting contextual information about the book we are reading from. The epistle of Paul to the Romans is a book of huge consequence because it lays down some very clear truths concerning justification by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. This is undeniable and is affirmed by the present author. But what is also true and must also be equally affirmed is that the book is written in an age when Jew was first Rom. 1:16

Paul likely had at least 2 imprisonments in Rome. This in conjunction with a clearer and more careful appreciation of the context of Acts 28 means that "the Mystery" was likely revealed after Acts 28 in a time which covers events and missionary journeys and imprisonment(s). This unwritten record I call "Acts 29". When Paul says "I Paul the prisoner of Jesus Christ" -- this means Paul is writing from a latter imprisonment subsequent to the imprisonment of Acts 28.

The perfecting of the saints

The book of Ephesians is the high water mark of PAul's prison ministry. It relates to us both  the circumstances and content  of the revelation of "the mystery" which was hid in God. All saints immediately prior to this revelation believed and held to the hope which was proclaimed to them in the Acts and therefore would need to be adjusted to the new and unprophesied hope that was now their's by grace.

Luke 16 is the main passage used by believers to justify the conscious intermediate state and the torment pre judgment of the lost. But what is the context of this passage? Can you really take the pagan notions of the Pharisees and believe that this is sound doctrine? Do you really believe that a pre-judicial burning in torments is both Biblical and just?
