The revelation of the Mystery was given once Israel was judged Acts 28:28. The mystery forms the distinctive kernel of the economy of this age. But how does this relate to the foundation of the world?

MID-ACTS and THEISTIC EVOLUTION
The mid-acts position starts the church (of whom Christ is head) in the book of Acts. This has many consequences, including the playing of doctrinal catch up on many manifestly clear observations about the church that all with open eyes can see. For example the church today has no signed gifts, we do not observe them despite many claims by some for their presence. Yet if the mid-acts position is true then the church should have them -- in fact the body of Christ as taught by Paul in 1 Cor.12-14 is composed of members with these gifts and whose distinctiveness depends on their presence.
The second coming has three phases, the appearing, the coming (parousia) to the clouds and the coming to the earth.
Some who defend the mid-Acts position say that "because Christ is the head of the church present in the book of Acts and is also the head of the church that is mentioned by Paul from prison that we cannot assume any fundamental difference between these two companies" -- I am quoting because I don't believe their assumptions are correct nor do I believe their conclusions are correct.
There are some who would like to tell us that the church of whom Christ is head began in the middle of the book of Acts. This is done by appealing to various assumptions - some will argue that the gospel is the mystery and then show that "the gospel" was preached by Paul in Acts and therefore this age began in Acts (say Acts 13, 17 etc). This is often stated with zeal (Rom. 10:2) but does it measure up to the knowledge that PAul prays the Colossians (Col. 1:9) and Ephesians (Eph. 1:16-18) posses? This spirit of wisdom and revelation is a gift of the Father and therefore we should not assume all Christians posses it.
Is Hell the fiery furnace where men and women suffer a Nazi like concentration camp? Excepting of course that it would be a torture chamber with no death to bring to an end the agony. The real actions of Mengele, Eichman, Heydrich and Himmler look like those of choir directors in comparison to the torture camp of the traditional hell. Isn't it amazing that lowly man can invent the spectacle of a constitution with more grace and foregiveness than the traditional view of God's eternal judgment on the lost. Is God less loving and foregiving than man in this respect? The 8th ammendment of the constitution of theUnited States demands that the Federal government does not institute cruel and unusual punishment -- the traditional view makes God the author of the MOST CRUEL and UNUSUAL PUNISHMENT!!
He Leads Us Through, Not Into. "...we went through fire and through water: but thou brought us out into a wealthy place."
Ps 66:12b KJV
The public is being bombarded with conflicting reports on almost an hourly basis. One side says that people are going back to work; their opponents say that jobs are scarcer. One side says that the little man is being helped financially; the other side says that the little man is suffering more than ever. The main line media says we are prospering due to the changes made by this administration and others are pointing out the decline in jobs, income and services. What we know is that both sides cannot be right.
With the spring come carnivals, fairs and fun things to do outdoors. The first carnival of the year has just visited our city. Normally, this information would not affect my life, but that was before having a 7 year old granddaughter. She makes me aware of this type of data. Observation of the carnival caused me to draw some comparisons to the “new Christianity” inundating the church.
