One more year closer to His coming! What a great year this has been. We have watched as the Father called some close friends home to glory. We have also watched as He decided to heal some because their job was not finished here. In both cases, we remember Abraham’s words “Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?” (Genesis 18:25)

What is this thing called “love?”
One of the signs of the last days is “misplaced love.”
“This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves…” 2 Timothy 3:1-2.
We are often asked our opinion regarding "contemporary worship services." I pray that I will answer this according to God's word and will. I want to be careful because I feel there are many "babes" (1 Corinthians 3:1) that are sincere, but deceived about this matter. One can be a "babe in Christ" without being a new Christian. I spent many years with little or no growth in my Christianity, so the length of time one has been saved has nothing to do with their maturity in Christ. I want to be kind, but more so, I want to honest and scriptural. Love is n
We all know that “last orders supersede all orders,” whether at home, on the job or in scripture. With that in mind lets see what “orders” the apostle to the Gentiles (Paul) gave to the church “which is His body” (Ephesians 1:22-23.) Paul’s last letter was 2 Timothy. The chronology of Paul’s letters are very important due to fact that “last orders supersede all orders.”
The greatest king of Israel said:
“The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good. The Lord looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God. They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.” Psalm 14:1-3
Centuries later, Paul echoed:
If we listen to the “big preachers,” the “popular ministries” or the “accepted by the scholars” modern day preaching, we get the idea that every dedicated, “sold out for God” Christian will be a financial and personal success. It seems the only thing standing between us and God’s abundant blessings is our lack of faith. If only we would really mean business with God He would pour out more blessings than we could imagine; poverty would vanish, illness would disappear and everyone would “live happily ever after.”
“…there is no new thing under the sun.” Ecclesiastes 1:9
It's resurrection time again!
"Then certain of the scribes and of the Pharisees answered, saying, Master, we would see a sign from thee. But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas: For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth." Matthew 12:38-40
ZIonica News came out with some interesting statistics regarding churches in America in their April 24, 2012 issue. Their figures revealed that over 85% of the churches are declining; when measuring church growth with population growth, only 4% of our churches are growing. One startling statistic was that no one county in the United States has more attending church today than it did ten years ago. The study showed that atheism, Mormonism and New Age groups are growing.
A pastor friend of mine related this story. On their way home from church one Sunday, his ten year old daughter quizzed him. She said, “Daddy, that story you told today…was that really true or was it just preaching?” A little girl, wise beyond her years; for so much of what we hear as preaching may be just that…preaching, not truth!
