This lesson was taught by Dr. McLain sometime in 1971. It is a comforting study of the 23rd Psalm and gives a new perspective to a beautiful Psalm taught by one who knew his Lord. The scripture is Psalm 23 KJV: "A Psalm of David. 1 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. 3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. 4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort...

This study covers much scripture both old and new testaments comparing the written word with the Incarnate Word, showing they are one and the same. You may want to have the pause button ready while you turn to the various scriptures.

This study shows you cannot take the Incarnate Word apart from the written Word because the Incarnate Word fulfills the written word and the written word proclaims the Incarnate Word. The Incarnate Word is the object of faith and the written word is the instrument of faith.

This is the third hour of the Return of Elijah seminar which covers the very last prophecy given to Israel in the Old Testament.  The scripture is in Malachi 4:5-6 KJV "5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord: 6 And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse."

Dr. McLain wanted to teach a study on death but as he prepared he thought we had to understand heaven and hell to learn about death.  This lesson was taught on April 29, 1979.  The scripture reading was in Luke 16:19-31 KJV:  "19 There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day: 20 And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores, 21 And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores. 22 And it came to pass, that the beggar...

This lesson was taught on May 14, 1979 and was part 3 of the "Death-Heaven_Hell" study.  The scripture reading was from 2 Corinthians 5:1-8 KJV: "1 For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. 2 For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven: 3 If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked. 4 For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality...
