The New - 2018 New Years Message

The message on December 31, 2017 was entitled "The New" and it was a lesson that looked New Years resolutions for 2018.  Wayne and his family enjoyed Christmas in Colorado so he took time to tells us about the site seeing they had done and the movie they went to see called "Darkest Hour".  Wayne explained how this movie does a great job showing how important good leadership is and how Winston Churchill provided the leadership to save England from Germany and Adolf Hitler.  Wayne then took the remaining time to teach us...

Mid-Acts or Acts 28 - Part 4

The lesson on December 17, 2017 was part 4 of the "Mid-Acts or Acts 28?" study.  Before Wayne got into the study, he made a commentary on Christmas and the pagan components of this holiday and how some Christians don't celebrate Christmas in that it is tainted with pagan traditions like the Christmas tree and Santa Claus.  Wayne makes a point that in today's world where it is trying to eliminate God and Jesus that if we don't use this time of year to witness about Christ and how He became flesh and dwelt among us, we are losing an opportunity.  This week Wayne recaped the lesson last week...

Mid-Acts or Acts 28 - Part 3

The lesson on December 10, 2017 was part 3 of "Mid-Acts or Acts 28?".  This lesson focused in on looking at the bodies of believers in the Acts period and comparing it to the one body that is in Ephesians which was written after Acts 28.  We learned that there were many bodies during the Acts that had attributes which enabled a member to be part of the head, whereas the one body in Ephesians is when Christ is the head.  The bodies identified in 1 Corinthians 12 and Romans 12 are not the same body described in Ephesians 3.  This is a new body created with Christ as the head and did not...

Mid-Acts or Acts 28 - Part 2

The lesson on December 3, 2017 was part 2 of the "Mid-Acts or Acts 28?" study.  In this lesson Wayne continues to describe the timeline related to the Acts period, from Acts 2, then 9, then 13 or 17.  It is usually agreed upon within the Mid-Acts groups that Acts 2 is not where the Church began because that was when the Holy Spirit was given at Pentecost.  Mid-Acts believers range from Acts 9 thru 17 but there is a problem because Israel is still going because it is Jew first, even when you read of the gospel Paul was preaching in Romans (which was written late Acts period).  The Church...

Mid-Acts or Acts 28 - Part 1

The lesson on November 26, 2017 was part 1 of "Mid-Acts or Acts 28?".  This is the first lesson on the study of this question, when did the church of which we are a part of today begin?  Mid-Acts or Acts 28?  Wayne takes the time to provide a backdrop for this issue and explains the Acts period and provides the highlights of actions during this 40 year period after the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ.  A person of significant interest is Saul who was persecuting Christians on behalf of the Chief Priests of Israel.  Saul received permission from them to pursue those in...

The U, V and W of Right Division - Part 36

The lesson on November 19, 2017 was part 36 of "The U, V and W of Right Division".  Wayne took the first 22 minutes of the lesson to give an example of how we could minister Right Division in a way that would involve animation and graphics that would answer a question or belief in such a way that they understand it in the context of what right division does for the student of scripture.  He gave an example of some believe that scripture teaches only one gospel.  Wayne give a sample script how we might explain it in a way that exposes the statement to be false by showing the answer...

The U, V and W of Right Division - Part 35

The lesson on November 12, 2017 was part 35 of "The U, V and W of Right Division".  Wayne returned from a Truth for Today Bible Conference in Phoenix, Arizona and recaped his two sessions he taught entitled - Election “to be…” OR “not to be…”?  You may review the two lessons from the Carolina Bible Group AZ Conference site. Once the review was over, Wayne continued with the lesson and continued to look at how God used hardening to accomplish his purpose.  The emphasis is on how God hardened people after...

The U, V and W of Right Division - Part 34

The lesson on October 29, 2017 was part 34 of "The U, V and W of Right Division".  This lesson focused again on Romans 9 as we are continuing to refute Calvinism under covenent theology.  Wayne zero's in on Election and how it is not just for two groups, the Saved and the Reprobates but rather God uses the free will he gave Adamic man to provide them grace and mercy through faith that accomplishes His purposes.  The election of Israel as a nation of priests did not mean that all would be saved -- indeed they were not all Israrel that were of Israel. Different elect groups had saved and...

The U, V and W of Right Division - Part 33

The lesson on October 22, 2017 was part 33 of "The U, V and W of Right Division".  Wayne spent time at the whiteboard exploring the subject of God's Will and man's free wheel in relation to the election we have "in Christ".  We went back to Genesis to see how God called the Nation of Israel and we learned from Deuteronomy 7, He chose them not because they were the largest but because they were small and He wanted to keep the promises he made to Abraham.  We looked at our own election in Ephesians 1:3.  We saw that God elected us out of those that were saved but we also saw in verse 13 how...

The U, V and W of Right Division - Part 32

The lesson on October 15, 2017 was part 32 of "The U, V and W of Right Division".  Wayne spent most of the lesson providing a recap of the Calvinism belief in Covenant Theology and how it is totally exposed through Right Division.  We looked at Jeremiah 18:1-10 with the example given that we are the clay, God is the potter but backed up to chapter 17 verse 23 to get the context in that this pertains to Israel and it showed they hardened their hearts, not God.  God then has the right to mold Israel into a new body that will perform his purpose.  The scripture reading was from Jeremiah 18:1-...
