The Apocalypse - Part 39

The lesson on October 23, 2016 was part 39 of "The Apocalypse" study.  This study begins chapter 19 of Revelation and Wayne takes time to look at the phrase "King of Kings" and where it occurs in scripture.  It appears three times in the Old Testament and three times in the New Testament.  When you compare what we find in Ephesians, we see Christ in the dispensation of the fullness of times is the Head of all principalities and powers, and might and dominion and every name that is named, not only in this world but also which is to come.  The body, which is His church, experiences His...

The Apocalypse - Part 38

The lesson on October 16, 2016 was part 38 of "The Apocalypse" study.  Babylon was studied to conclusion in that Babylon of Revelation 17, 18 and Jeremiah 50, 51 is the actual city vs. Jerusalem.  The scriptures that point to this conclusion are shared and studied so the conclusion is made, no matter how hard it is to believe.  Presently, Babylon is in ruins and only partially rebuilt and is no way an economic epicenter.  It would be much easier to believe that Jerusalem fills this prophecy but the scriptures studied in this lesson show that Jerusalem must exist for the prophecy related to...

The Apocalypse - Part 37

The lesson on October 9, 2016 was part 37 of "The Apocalypse" study.  This lesson looked at the three theories that identifies the Babylon spoken of in Revelation 17.  First, some think that Babylon is really the Roman line of the Catholic church, stemming from Nimrod (set forth in the book "The Two Babylons: Or, the Papal Worship Proved to Be the Worship of Nimrod" by Alexander Hislop).  Second, Pastor McLain set...

The Apocalypse - Part 36

The lesson on October 2, 2016 was part 36 of "The Apocalypse" study.  This lesson continued into chapter 17 of Revelation and takes time to study Babylon.  Traditionally, the Babylon of Revelation 17 has been taught that it is symbolizing Rome and the Catholic church, where the Pope is revealed at the Anti-Christ that fulfills the phophetic content of Babylon.  This lesson rejects that tradition and looks at Babylon as an actual city located in the Middle East. The scripture reading was from Isaiah 13:19-22 KJV

"19 And Babylon, the glory of kingdoms, the beauty of the Chaldees'...

The Apocalypse - Part 34

The lesson on September 18, 2016 was part 34 of "The Apocalypse" study.  This lesson looked at the judgement that comes on Israel when the vials are poured out in Revelation 16.  God punishes his chose people Israel like children but also dispenses judgment on the Nations.  We learned that there will be miracles performed by Satan during this time and it will cause such delusion.  Satan is trying to replicate the miracles that were performed during the Acts period in order to deceive Israel and the Nations to follow him.  It is no shock that strong delusion can occur on the Nations because...

The Apocalypse - Part 33

The lesson on September 11, 2016 was part 33 of "The Apocalypse" study.  A moment was taken to honor those affected by the 9-11-2001 terrorist attack against the World Trade Center in New York City and the Pentagon since this was the 15th anniversary of that horrific event on America.  We all acknowledge how it is a spritual warfare that was at the forefront of this attack.  The remaining lesson content was regarding context.  It is so...

The Apocalypse - Part 32

The lesson on September 4, 2016 was part 32 of "The Apocalypse" study.  The scripture reading was from Deuteronomy 32:39-43 KJV.  This weeks lesson looks at the Harvest and studies how God will deliver on Jacob's trouble enacting punishment on Israel but then delivering punishment to the nations that had been evil to Israel.

"39 See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand. 40 For I lift up my hand to heaven, and say, I live for ever. 41 If I whet my glittering sword...

The Apocalypse - Part 31

The lesson on August 28, 2016 was part 31 of "The Apocalypse" study.  Today's lesson gives a quick recap of the previous lesson and continues into chapter 15 of Revelation.  The wrath of God is delivered by the seven angels but not before God takes Israel through Jacob's trouble.  Wayne also takes time to explain the Calvinist view from scripture and why we cannot agree with the Calvinism perspective since we have learned how God dispenses punishment in Revelation by judging those people who haven't heard the gospel through the other books.  God is a just God who does not predetermine who...

The Apocalypse - Part 30

The lesson on August 21, 2016 was part 30 of "The Apocalypse" study.  When studying Revelation, having had 29 lessons on the subject so far, it is important to remind the students watching that we are part of a new calling which PAul calls The Mystery.  This new calling was hidden before the foundation of the world and was not a part of any other Old Testament or New Testament scripture until PAul reveals them in his last seven books (Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, Titus, Philemon and 1 & 2 Timothy).  In Revelation, there are all kinds of trails leading back to the Old Testmant,...
