"1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; 2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; 3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth. 4 For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:5 For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer."
Genesis - Part 23
The lesson on September 8, 2019 was part 23 of the "Genesis" study. This weeks lesson in Genesis Wayne teaches us that the personage of Satan or the Devil is real. It is not an analogy of the old nature of man as some teach. The Devil had huge power as shown in Matthew 4:8-9 when he appeared to Jesus and "showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor" and said in verse 9 "All this I will give you," he said, "if you will bow down and worship me". You cannot say that Jesus was only dealing with his old nature. Wayne provided us the context of how the Devil and his Demons are allowed to have impact on us today in relation to our calling. The Apostle PAul warned us in 1 Timothy that in the latter times (of our calling in the Mystery) that some shall give head to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils (Wayne thinks this refers to the same thing in that seducing spirits and devils or demons are the same thing). We believe that their a laws that God has placed on the angelic beings that keeps them from directly affecting us today. The scripture reading was from 1 Timothy 4:1-5 KJV
