The lesson on December 11, 2005 was entitled the "Birth of Christ" Part 2 and the scripture reading was in Luke 2:7-14 KJV. "7 And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn. 8 And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. 9 And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.

The lesson on December 19, 2004 was entitled "The Carols of Christmas" and the scripture reading was in Luke 2:1-20 KJV.  "2:1 And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus, that all the world should be taxed. 2 (And this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.) 3 And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city.

The lesson on December 21, 2003 was entitled "The Christmas Story" and the scripture reading was in Matthew 1:18-25 KJV. "18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost. 19 Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a publick example, was minded to put her away privily.

Do You Believe in Christmas? What is Christmas and what does it mean to you? For those of us who are Christians, it means more than the lights, the shopping, or wrapped presents under the tree. If it were, then the spirit of man really yearns for something more than that and is so empty. All the answers the world has to give will never satisfy the yearning heart. There is only one answer that will, and that is Christ. Christians know that every day is Christmas because God has given us the gift of His dear Son.
