First Corinthians - Part 14

Introduction

Last time we looked at the matter of going to the unrighteous for the settlements of differences between brothers and how this was utterly a fault.

7  Now therefore there is utterly a fault among you, because ye go to law one with another. Why do ye not rather take wrong? why do ye not rather suffer yourselves to be defrauded?
8  Nay, ye do wrong, and defraud, and that your brethren.

Today we will move into the seriousness of the actions performed by the Corinthians and the principle of judgment will be taken into the personal life of the believer finally concentrating on the body.

Ephesians - Part 15

The lesson on January 26, 2014 was part 15 of the "Ephesians" study.  This lesson started looking directly at verses 7 thru 10 in chapter three and really focused on the fact that PAul is providing us an amazing gospel of the unsearchable riches of Christ.  This is different from the gospel of the death, burial and resurrection of Christ.  This gospel was given to PAul by the effectual working of His power (the same power of the out-resurrection).  In verse 8 it shows a beautiful demonstration of grace... and moves to verse 9 where PAul is commissioned to make a men see what is the fellowship of the Mystery, to the intent, that now principalities and powers are being shown the manifold wisdom of God because of the church.  The church is the instrument whereby these principalities and powers in heavenly places might know the manifold wisdom of God. This is simply amazing of what God is doing through the church!  The scripture reading was from Ephesians 3:14-21 KJV

Ephesians - Part 14

The lesson on January 19, 2014 was part 14 of the "Ephesians" study. The series continues on in chapter four looking specifically at the "Grace" that PAul is proclaiming to the Gentiles.  Specifically the joint-heir ship, the same body and the joint partakers by the gospel.  The gospel of the unsearchable riches of Christ is a gospel that is not preached today.  It should be!  The ministry that goes on with this body is a testimony to principalities and powers in heavenly places expressing the manifold wisdom of God. The scripture reading was in Ephesians 4: 11-16 KJV

Ephesians - Part 13

The lesson on January 12, 2014 was part 13 of the "Ephesians" study and continued in chapter three.  The lesson started with a review of the Mystery of Christ being different from The Mystery being revealed in chapter 3 for the first time.  The mystery of Christ is something that was traceable in the Old Testament with prophecies all the way up to the New Testament scriptures.  The Mystery revealed in Ephesians 3:9 was not searchable in the scriptures but hidden in God before the foundation of the world.  This lesson went into detail studying the word "gospel" in Ephesians so we may understand what PAul was emphasizing.  The Scripture reading was from Ephesians 3:7-9 KJV

Ephesians - Part 12

The lesson on January 5, 2014 was part 12 of the "Ephesians" study.  The lesson covered chapter 3 through verse 9.  The lesson started with a review of previous truths learned from previous lessons.  Topic like "time" was discussed in that there is prophetic time in the bible associated with Israel.  When they are disobedient and were in servitude, the prophetic clock would stop while regular time was still running.  The prophetic clock has stopped now because at Acts 28:28, Israel was divorced.  There will be a time when God deals with Israel again and the prophetic clock with start again.  The time we are in now is very special because it is specifically addressed to the Gentiles and the doctrine revealed by PAul the prisoner is called The Mystery.  This body of truth was hidden in God before the foundation of the world.  PAul the prisoner of Christ Jesus is the Apostle to the Gentiles and he gives us our calling for today.  The distance and enmity that previously existed is gone because we are given the status of being his body, where Christ is the head, and our citizenship is in the heavenlies, far above all principalities and powers.  It's these heavenly places that contain principalities and powers that are viewing us as a witness to the manifold wisdom of God. The scripture reading was from Ephesians 3:1-9 KJV

Four Days in Scripture - Part 16

The lesson on January 27, 2013 was part 16 of the "Four Days in Scripture" study and finished looking at the Day of the Lord while introducing the Day of God.  Part 16 completed the Four Days in Scripture study. The scripture reading was in 2 Peter 3:10-13 KJV "10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. 11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, 12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? 13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness."

Four Days in Scripture - Part 15

The lesson on January 20, 2013 was part 15 of the "Four Days in Scripture" study and finished looking at the Day of the Lord.  The scripture reading was in 2 Thessalonians 2:1-12 KJV "1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, 2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. 3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; 4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. 5 Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?
