Four Days in Scripture - Part 14

The lesson on January 13, 2013 was part 14 of the "Four Days in Scripture" study and continued to look at the Day of the Lord.  The scripture reading was from 2 Peter 3:10-11 KJV "10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. 11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,"

The 12 Tribes of Israel, Paul and PAul

The lesson on January 6, 2013 was a lesson given by Wayne Stewart looking at the 12 Tribes of Israel and the Apostle Paul in the Acts Period where the Gentiles were blessed with faithful Abraham.  Then the Apostle PAul as he transitioned his ministry in the post Acts 28 prison epistles where the Gentiles received a secret blessing apart from Abraham called The Mystery.  The scripture reading was from Romans 15:8-13 KJV "8 Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers: 9 And that the Gentiles might glorify G

Remembrance - Part 4

This lesson was taught on January 29, 2012. The scripture reading is 2 Timothy 2:1-10 KJV: "1 Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. 2 And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also. 3 Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. 4 No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier. 5 And if a man also strive for masteries, yet is he not crowned, except he strive lawfully. 6 The husbandman that laboureth must be first partaker of the fruits. 7 Consider what I say; and the Lord give thee understanding in all things.

Remembrance - Part 3

This lesson was given January 22, 2012 and continues with the theme of "Remembrance." This is important information for us because it's the last letter of the prison epistles, the last letter of the mystery--God's sacred secret to the Gentiles. Paul is sending a letter of encouragement to Timothy because he realized that discouragement is the devil's greatest tool. We, too, as christians become discouraged and need to show love and encouragement to one another. Scripture reading is 2 Timothy 1:12 through 2:2 KJV: "12 For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day. 13 Hold fast the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus. 14 That good thing which was committed unto thee keep by the Holy Ghost which dwelleth in us.

Remembrance - Part 2

This lesson was taught on January 15, 2012 and emphasizes that "the fight is on." The world tells us more and more that the road is wide, but the Bible teaches that "narrow is the way." The only way to heaven is Jesus. Paul again puts us in remembrance that we should not be ashamed of his testimony--his gospel, and that we should pray for the saints. The enemy is attacking on all fronts and we should always seek to find the truth. Scripture reading is 2 Timothy 1:6-14 KJV: "6 Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands. 7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. 8 Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;
