The Messiah Must Die - Easter 2021

The message on April 4, 2021 was entitled "The Messiah Must Die" and was the Easter message for 2021. Wayne opened the message to provide us several places to look in Old Testament scripture to learn about a priest upon his throne and why the prophesied Messiah must die. There are some really phenomenal passages in scripture that talk about this. We looked in Zechariah 6:11-13 where the Messiah shall be a priest upon his throne. We also looked at Hebrews 9:13-14 KJV where it explained that how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot...

This lesson was taught on May 31, 2020 and was part 57 of the "Genesis" study and was the final lesson in the study.  Wayne opens explaining that we will end the study in Genesis because he has been moved by the spirit to take on the Gospel of John because it is particular and will help him solve some of the issues he has been wotking on.  Wayne then piccks up from the previous lesson explaing how we have looked at the hope of Abraham in relation to the second coming. Wayne reminds us that there are three clear adoptions as sons.  One to receive with the Earth as an inheritance, one to...

Genesis - Part 56

This lesson was taught on May 24, 2020 and was part 56 of the "Genesis" study.  Wayne introduces the linkage of the resurrections to the three phases of Jesus Christ second coming.  He takes us back to Genesis 15:5-6 KJV where God explained to Abraham how He will give him an heir "5  And he brought him forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be. 6  And he believed in the Lord; and he counted it to him for righteousness." The apostle Paul then elaborates and fills in more detail that we hadn'...

Easter 2020

The message on April 12, 2020 was for Easter 2020 and Wayne used the Passover feast to explain how it was one of nine feasts established with Israel to worship God properly if you are a Jew.  We learned in the Genesis study that God created and the Earth was part of that creation that was overthrown and had judgement brought upon it.  This foundation of the world had a before and a from or since with it.  In The Mystery, we learned that it was hidden in God before the foundation and that was the same timeframe Peter described of the Lamb of Christ in 1 Peter 1:18-21 when he wrote "18...

Genesis - Part 44

The lesson on February 23, 2020 was part 44 of the "Genesis" study.  This week Wayne briefly reviewed the lesson from last week when he looked at the days of Noe being important to understand the coming of Jesus Christ, being his personal presence as opposed to his appearing, which is what is associated with our hope in the Mystery.  Wayne then followed with the second Right Division snippet and majored on the Out-Resurrection.  The scripture reading was from 1 Corinthians 10:1-12 KJV

Fathers House

The message on December 16, 2018 was entitled "In My Father's House" and it was a one off message by Wayne Stewart before he and his family take a Christmas break in New Zeland for the next two weeks.  In this message, we look at the passage in John at the end of chapter 13 when Simon Peter promises to lay his life down for Jesus... and the Lord warning him in verse 38 "...Verily, verily, I say unto thee, The cock shall not crow, till thou hast denied me thrice."  This gives the context for chapter 14 and the famous verse that most Christians memorize in John 14:6 "Jesus saith unto him, I...

Easter Genesis Gospel

The message on April 21, 2019 was about Easter and Wayne was able to share the parallel between Genesis and John's Gospel.  Wayne reflects on the special Christian message at Easter particular to the resurrection promise we share in relation to the pain we all have shared with the death of a loved one.  In the promise of eternal life in Christ through the resurrection we can celebrate the gift that God gave us.  As we are in the Genesis study, there is a distinct parallel between Genesis and John's Gospel.  Wayne takes the time to go through the Easter message in John's Gospel and compares...

I Shall Be Satisfied

The message on December 9, 2018 was on regarding the thought of "I Shall Be Satisfied".  Wayne going into the Christmas season will soon vacation to his homeland down South but has one more week of giving finals at his day job.  In class, some students have approached him to consider changing careers because statistics is used in the profession of an Actuary, and they make so much more money.  In response, Wayne expresses how much he loves his job and is satisfied teaching because of his love for it.  In fact, many people are chasing wealth and happiness through things but we learn in...

No One Hath Ascended but

The message on October 14, 2018 was a one off message entitled "No One Has Ascended but..." and studied what happens at death.  Wayne looked at the state of the soul and body at death and how it is described in scripture regarding what happens.  There is a lot of tradition that has creeped into modern Christian thinking that comes from pagan belief.  The scriptures clearly state in John 3:13 that "...no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven."  This message goes through scripture to paint the truth as to how death is...

Passover - Easter 2018

The message on August 1, 2018 was on the Passover and was our Easter lesson for 2018.  Wayne took time to look at the Passover feast because of two main issues.  First it tells the story of how Israel was brought out of bondage from the "type of the world" which was Egypt under the blood of the Passover lamb. We learned that in Exodus 12, this feast was the beginning of the new year for Israel.  This is a great type in picture of a Christian's new life made possible by Christ and His sacrifice.  The fact that PAul still talks about Jesus the Christ which is the same before and after Acts...
