Fathers House

The message on December 16, 2018 was entitled "In My Father's House" and it was a one off message by Wayne Stewart before he and his family take a Christmas break in New Zeland for the next two weeks.  In this message, we look at the passage in John at the end of chapter 13 when Simon Peter promises to lay his life down for Jesus... and the Lord warning him in verse 38 "...Verily, verily, I say unto thee, The cock shall not crow, till thou hast denied me thrice."  This gives the context for chapter 14 and the famous verse that most Christians memorize in John 14:6 "Jesus saith unto him, I...

Easter Genesis Gospel

The message on April 21, 2019 was about Easter and Wayne was able to share the parallel between Genesis and John's Gospel.  Wayne reflects on the special Christian message at Easter particular to the resurrection promise we share in relation to the pain we all have shared with the death of a loved one.  In the promise of eternal life in Christ through the resurrection we can celebrate the gift that God gave us.  As we are in the Genesis study, there is a distinct parallel between Genesis and John's Gospel.  Wayne takes the time to go through the Easter message in John's Gospel and compares...

I Shall Be Satisfied

The message on December 9, 2018 was on regarding the thought of "I Shall Be Satisfied".  Wayne going into the Christmas season will soon vacation to his homeland down South but has one more week of giving finals at his day job.  In class, some students have approached him to consider changing careers because statistics is used in the profession of an Actuary, and they make so much more money.  In response, Wayne expresses how much he loves his job and is satisfied teaching because of his love for it.  In fact, many people are chasing wealth and happiness through things but we learn in...

No One Hath Ascended but

The message on October 14, 2018 was a one off message entitled "No One Has Ascended but..." and studied what happens at death.  Wayne looked at the state of the soul and body at death and how it is described in scripture regarding what happens.  There is a lot of tradition that has creeped into modern Christian thinking that comes from pagan belief.  The scriptures clearly state in John 3:13 that " man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven."  This message goes through scripture to paint the truth as to how death is...

Passover - Easter 2018

The message on August 1, 2018 was on the Passover and was our Easter lesson for 2018.  Wayne took time to look at the Passover feast because of two main issues.  First it tells the story of how Israel was brought out of bondage from the "type of the world" which was Egypt under the blood of the Passover lamb. We learned that in Exodus 12, this feast was the beginning of the new year for Israel.  This is a great type in picture of a Christian's new life made possible by Christ and His sacrifice.  The fact that PAul still talks about Jesus the Christ which is the same before and after Acts...

Easter Message 2017

The lesson on April 16, 2017 was an Easter Message where Wayne looked at Luke 24 and told us about certain others, the rest and one of them regarding the resurrection of Jesus Christ. This passage in Luke tells us of the others involved in the supernatural witness of Jesus Christ resurrection along with disbelief, which was eventually pushed aside.  We gain insight into the momentous effort God gave man the insight into the main event of human history where He changed time and provided a way to bridge the gap between Himself and his fallen creation. Wayne took particular not of verse 25 "...

The Apocalypse - Part 45

The lesson on December 4, 2016 was part 45 of "The Apocalypse" study.  This is the last lesson in this study.  Wayne reviews what was covered in the previous lesson, where we learned how mans soul perishes with his body upon death.  Scripture tells us that man is like the animals in how they die and return to dust.  This is true without the hope of the Jesus Christ and the resurrection.  We have learned about the first and second resurrection of the tribulation and how these are particular to Israel.  We learn in this lesson of the unique calling we have in this age specifies where we will...

The Apocalypse - Part 29

The Apocalypse - Part 21

The lesson on May 15, 2016 was part 21 of "The Apocalypse" study.  A review of the previous lesson opened up this lesson as usual, but the remaining part of the lesson really looked at the Two Witnesses in Revelation and how they are used to demonstrate God's position on the sins of the world but how He uses their death and resurrection after 3.5 days.  It is also very informative to study how in their intermediate state during their death and resurrection does not include any consciousness.  The intermediate state between death and resurrection does not exist.  We have learned that death...

Easter 2016

The message on March 27, 2016 was on Easter and Wayne looked at the ressurection of Christ but took a look at how the Pagan Easter was merged with the Christian celebration of the death and resurrection of Christ.  We learned how in the Old Testament when the Jews had to sacrifice an offering for atonement, they had to bring a creature they owned and kill it themselves.  Today as Christians, we take the sacrifice of Christ for granted because we don't have to perform the sacrifice ourselves.  He did it all to forgive all our sins.  For God so loved the world, so He sent His Son to die for...
