Genesis - Part 43

The lesson on February 16, 2020 was part 43 of the "Genesis" study.  Wayne continued to focus on studying the days of Noe in relation to the coming of Jesus Christ as described in Matthew 24:37 "But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.".  This week we identify the separate hopes of the callings before and after when The Mystery was given.  Prior to the revelation given to Paul, the hope was on the coming of Jesus Christ.  Afterwards when the Mystery had been given, it changed to His appearing.  We walk through the scriptures that highlight the difference...

Genesis - Part 42

The lesson on February 9, 2020 was part 42 of the "Genesis" study.  In this Genesis study, we are learning about the days of Noah in relation to the New Testament statement describing of the coming of Christ will be like the days of Noah.  Well Wayne takes the time to explain why that would have been true with the condition of the repentance of the Israel.  Wayne took time to show how Peter acknowledges the wisdom that was given to Paul for the uncircumcision.  Peter was the minister to the Jew and Paul to the Gentiles.  Paul would take Peter to task if he tried to say the Gentiles had to...

Genesis - Part 40

The lesson on January 26, 2020 was part 40 of the "Genesis" study.  Today's focus was on a review of the ideas that this study has covered, including the deportation of Israel through the book of Acts.  These deportations was prophesied in Isaiah 6. There are different callings and inheritances in scripture and we have identified three of those callings during this study.  In Genesis chapter six, we learned that before and after the flood there was an eruption of the Nephilim which were hybrid offspring of fallen angels and human females.  Only Noah and his family were without blemish,...

Genesis - Part 37
The lesson on January 5, 2020 was part 37 of the "Genesis" study.  Wayne spent time bringing us up to the current place in this Genesis study by reviewing the rabbit trails we followed to better understand the separate callings between Israel and our calling in the Mystery.  In doing so, Wayne reviewed the four deportations of Israel as reflected in 2 Chronicles and synced that up with the time in the New Testament when these four deportations occurred. He then reviewed the reference in Isaiah 6:9-10 where it is quoted 7 times in the New Testament showing the hardening of the heart of Israel...

Genesis - Part 36

The lesson on December 15, 2019 was part 36 of the "Genesis" study.  In today's lesson, Wayne continues to provide clarity on the three spheres of blessings but took time to analyze the four deportations of Israel.  This was a little detour from Genesis but is in response to some questions Wayne received from part 35 of Genesis around the three spheres of blessings.  Wayne took us back to end of the Old Testament CANON (Chronologically).  He took us through the four deportations: 1).2 Chronicles 33.11 – Manasseh. 2).2 Chronicles 36.6 – Jehoiakim (possibly Daniel included Dan 1.1). 3).2...

Genesis - Part 34

The lesson on November 24, 2019 was part 34 of the "Genesis" study.  Being that is the week of Thanksgiving in America, Wayne started his lesson with a commentary on the founders of this country, having traveled so far in a ship that could be considered a dingy by today's standards.  These founding fathers suffered the harsh winter in this new land where half of them perished.  Why?  They had a hope that served as their motivation.  In the end, the US Constitution was created as the supreme law of the land that expressed their hope in a new republic.  Wayne also shared he received good...

Genesis - Part 33

The lesson on November 17, 2019 was part 33 of the "Genesis" study.  The culmination of this lesson introduces the "Pleromoa" but before we got there Wayne reviewed what we had previously learned about how important Right Division of scripture is when studying because you will be in danger of receiving doctrine out of context.  We had previously looked at the lineage of Cain and Seth and found their posterity with people sharing the same name.  They are separate people.  We looked at the word "Church" and identified at least three churches mentioned in scripture that all had different...

Genesis - Part 31

The lesson on November 3, 2019 was part 31 of the "Genesis" study.  Wayne took us back today to reemphasize why Right Division is so important when we are studying scripture.  In Genesis, the doctrine we learn of being a "keeper" is reflected in the sin that Cain had before he murdered Abel.  Can was a tiller of the ground which meant he had the responsibility to be his brothers keeper which is what he responded to God with after he had killed Abel and received the curse that God put on him.  We too as Christians have the responsibility of reading scripture and understanding doctrine that...

Genesis - Part 30

The lesson on October 27, 2019 was part 30 of the "Genesis" study.  Wayne opened up with a comment that a lot of what we have covered in the Genesis study is that of beginnings. Much of what we learn in Genesis relates to events during the Acts period and Acts 28.  Further, right division of scripture is so important that Christians need to rightly divide the ministries of the Apostle Paul. Then while diving into Genesis, we learned more of the double curse the ground that God had put on the Earth.  Next, we lean of the Hebrew word behind "keeper" which was "shamar".  Wayne points out all...

Genesis - Part 27

The lesson on October 6, 2019 was part 27 of the "Genesis" study and Wayne opened with a review of the context of the question, "Why are their gifts apparent after Acts 28 when the Mystery had been given"?  This is thoroughly explained in the Acts 29 study but the first 20 minutes of today's lesson revisited the impact of the believers who had been given gifts prior to Acts 28 that flowed into the new calling and needed to be built up, that is why PAul wrote in Ephesians 4:12 "For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:".  Post...
