Acts 29 - Part 13

The lesson on July 1, 2018 was part 13 of the "Acts 29" study.  In this lesson, Wayne raps up with the first half of the study since he is working on building his Hebrew knowledge and tools to learn what he needs to finish the study.  We look at revised Acts 28:28 schema again to emphasize what has been revised, the chief being that The Mystery of Ephesians 3:9 was not revealed during Acts 28.  We have learned that there is a progression of the ministries Paul was a part of and that the hope of salvation being sent to the Gentiles is just a continuation of what had been revealed in Matthew...

The U, V and W of Right Division - Part 22

The lesson on July 2, 2017 was part 22 of "The U, V and W of Right Division".  Wayne reviewed last weeks lesson and emphasized the analogy used of the separation of the United States from England, using the divorce of the American's from the legal connection to Great Britain to that of the divorce of the Jews from the calling of God after Acts 28 with the revelation of The Mystery in Ephesians.  We learned why America choose July 4th as the day to celebrate Independence.  July 4, 1776 wasn't the day that the Continental Congress decided to declare independence (they did that on July 2,...

The Apocalypse - Part 27

The lesson on July 3, 2016 was part 27 of "The Apocalypse" study.  This also was mingled with thoughts on America's Independence Day celebration.  Wayne gave a brief overview of the previous lesson where we learned about Sion or Zion being the center of Israel's salvation in the Tribulation but he moved on to teach us about the different gospels in scripture.  The term "gospel" simply means good news but the mention of gospel in scripture dictates that you look at the context to see which good news is being proclaimed.  We looked at three different gospels to make it apparent that those...

Independence Day - Part 2

The lesson on July 20, 2014 was part 2 of the Independence Day message and it continued to show the parallels between the political independence the colonies declared from Great Britain to the spiritual independence Gentiles received from Israel at the end of Acts 28.  The lesson covers the reasons why God declares this separation from Israel and creates something new.  The new man identified in Ephesians 2:15 where Christ is the head is the new body created from this independence.  The scripture reading was from Acts 28:23-28 KJV

Independence Day 2014

The lesson on July 6, 2014 was a message on Independence Day and it looked at a parallel as to what the founding fathers of America in pursing independence from Great Brittan to what the Gentiles received at the end of Acts, independence from Israel when the message of salvation was authorized to be sent through the Gentiles after Acts 28:28.  The message looked at the first paragraph of the Declaration of Independence: "When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to...

The lesson today was taught on July 1, 2012. As America and the world trend more and more to the concept that we are not a christian nation, we are reminded of all the sacrifices made by our forefathers. We remember today the great sacrifices made by those brave men and women in the founding of this country. To question if it was founded as a christian nation is foolish. The wonderful documents leave no doubt that America was founded and based on christian principles and undoubtedly influenced by our God Himself.

July 3rd, 2011

The lesson on July 3, 2011 was a lesson celebrating Independence Day in America with a look at "Pivotal Points in Life" and opened with the scripture reading in 1 Corinthians 2:1-8 KJV "1 And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God. 2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. 3 And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling. 4 And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of...

July 4th, 2010

The lesson on July 4, 2010 was in celebration of the United States Independence holiday.  The scripture reading was in Psalms 33:6-12 KJV "6 By the word of the Lord were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth. 7 He gathereth the waters of the sea together as an heap: he layeth up the depth in storehouses. 8 Let all the earth fear the Lord: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him. 9 For he spake, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast.

Independence Day - The lesson on July 5, 2009 took a break from the Romans study to celebrate Independence Day in America. Psalms 11:1-7 was the scripture reading and most people are familiar with verse 3 “If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?” This is a sobering passage from scripture when applied to America this fear is not a new. I’m sure many generations past have shared this concern. So why bring it up? When bad things happen we begin to lose our faith in God.
