The Three Spheres of Blessing. – The lesson on October 1, 2006 studied the three spheres of blessing found in scripture. It’s important that students of right division understand the particular calling for each body of believers and the blessings that are unique to each group. The three spheres are 1) on Earth, 2) the Heavens, and 3) the Heavenlies (super heavens). The Earth entails what was promised to Abraham and his decedents with the Nation of Israel. It said in Genesis 12:7 (KJV) ”And the LORD appeared unto Abram, and said, Unto thy seed will I give this land: and there builded he an altar unto the LORD, who appeared unto him.” The second aspect of the blessing associated with Israel was a kingdom of heaven which involved a city whose builder was God as told in Hebrews 11:8-10 (KJV) “By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went. By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise: For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God.” The third blessing of the Heavenlies, involves a new body of believers which was revealed by the Apostle Paul when he was given a particular ministry called the Mystery. He explains this calling after the Acts in Ephesians, Philippians, and Colossians. Paul stated in Ephesians 3:1-3 (KJV) “For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you Gentiles, If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward: How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery;…” You should also download the handout as well.
