Make Full Proof of Thy Ministry. The last letter Paul wrote was 2 Timothy for soon after he was beheaded according to church history. In the end, Paul declares he fought a good fight, and kept the faith, hence thre was a crown of righteousness that Paul would receive in the heavenly kingdom. Prior to the close of 2 Timothy, Paul warns of those who will “not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.” Consequntly, Paul charges Timothy to make full proof of his ministry. What did that entail? Paul lists 5 things for Timothy in 2 Tim 4:2 “Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.” He also gives 3 more actions in 2 Tim 4:5 ”But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist…”Do you make full proof of the ministry that has been given to you?
