The lesson on June 13, 2010 continued the study “From the Beginning” and opened with the scripture reading in Ps 105:1-7 KJV “1 O give thanks unto the Lord; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people. 2 Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk ye of all his wondrous works. 3 Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the Lord. 4 Seek the Lord, and his strength: seek his face evermore. 5 Remember his marvellous works that he hath done; his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth; 6 O ye seed of Abraham his servant, ye children of Jacob his chosen. 7 He is the Lord our God: his judgments are in all the earth.” Psalms 105 contains 5 sections: The first section covers verses 8-15 which involves Abraham and the beginning of the nation Israel.  Part two includes verses 16-23 which covers Israel going into Egypt.  Part three is in verses 24-38, which tells of Israel increasing in numbers and the fear that was found in the Pharoh that put them into slavery.  God then performed signs through Moses and Aaron until the exodus from Egypt.  Part four covers verses 39-41 when they were journeying through the wilderness.  Part 5 is in verses 42-45 when Joshua took the nation across the river Jordan into the promised land.  This psalm was written by David on a special occassion as recorded in 1 Chronicles 16:7-13 KJV “7 Then on that day David delivered first this psalm to thank the Lord into the hand of Asaph and his brethren. 8 Give thanks unto the Lord, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the people. 9 Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him, talk ye of all his wondrous works. 10 Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the Lord. 11 Seek the Lord and his strength, seek his face continually. 12 Remember his marvellous works that he hath done, his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth; 13 O ye seed of Israel his servant, ye children of Jacob, his chosen ones.” .  The Bible is a glorious book.  The Bible was written over 1500 years, by 40 different men, in 13 different countries, on three different continents, in three different languages, has one theme: the remption of God’s creation.  This one book has one hero, the Lord Jesus Christ and one villian, Satan.  This book has one purpose, to glorify God. The Bible, from beginning to end, has never included a contradiction.  The Bible is divinely inspired.
