The lesson on September 12, 2010 was reviewing the fire storm that a pastor started when his congregation decided to burn the Quran (Koran) on September 11th, commemorating the 9th anniversary of the attack on the World Trade Center in New York.  This attack was pulled off by radical muslams who promote Islam over Christianity to the point of killing Christians and Americans. The scripture reading was in 2 Timothy 3:14-17 KJV “15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. 16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.”  One example of the American sentiment after 9-11 is a worrysome rant, which is a supposed email that is cirulating from an American Airlines pilot who wrote a letter entitled “You Worry Me”.  This letter was determined to be a fake, but exemplifies the feelings in America that would encourage the event down in Florida.  The friction between the Muslims and the Christians started with Isaac and Ishmael in Gensis 16:11-12; 17:19-21 KJV “11 And the angel of the Lord said unto her, Behold, thou art with child, and shalt bear a son, and shalt call his name Ishmael; because the Lord hath heard thy affliction. 12 And he will be a wild man; his hand will be against every man, and every man’s hand against him; and he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren. 17:19-21 19 And God said, Sarah thy wife shall bear thee a son indeed; and thou shalt call his name Isaac: and I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his seed after him. 20 And as for Ishmael, I have heard thee: Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly; twelve princes shall he beget, and I will make him a great nation. 21 But my covenant will I establish with Isaac, which Sarah shall bear unto thee at this set time in the next year.”  The blessings of Abraham flowed through Isaac and Jacob, not through Ishmael.  Christianity was born out of Judaism and Islam has been at war with the Jews and subsequently Christians ever since.  This audio lesson looks at Islam and the Quora (Koran) but spends most of the lesson looking at the bible we have today.
