The lesson on November 7, 2010 continued the From the Beginning study with part 18.  The scripture reading was in Psalms 106:32-36 KJV “32 They angered him also at the waters of strife, so that it went ill with Moses for their sakes: 33 Because they provoked his spirit, so that he spake unadvisedly with his lips. 34 They did not destroy the nations, concerning whom the Lord commanded them: 35 But were mingled among the heathen, and learned their works. 36 And they served their idols: which were a snare unto them. 37 Yea, they sacrificed their sons and their daughters unto devils, 38 And shed innocent blood, even the blood of their sons and of their daughters, whom they sacrificed unto the idols of Canaan: and the land was polluted with blood.”   This lesson starts with the thought that God is good.  The world system is against the things of God.  We see this in the history of Israel when they fell prey to the world with the lust of the flesh.  It’s the same today.  There is apostasy in the pulpit and apathy in the pews.  This lesson teaches on the error of Moses when he retrieved water from the rock for the nation of Israel in error.  Moses did not follow the Lord’s instruction.  This error kept Moses from going into the promised land.  We learn about anger and the proper way to handle it.  Paul tells us in Ephesians 4:26 to be angry but sin not.  Don’t let angry become anger. The devil uses anger to provoke sin.
