Leland Maples runs the LOOP’s Ministries (Loved Ones Of Prisoners) and leads a Thursday night bible study held in the Rec Room at Life Change Baptist Church in Odessa Texas.  The Rec Room message on Thursday, February 10, 2011 was entitled “What’s Your Excuse?” and was given by Leland. {C}The first excuses used in the Bible are found in the example Christ gave about the man who prepared a great supper and invited friends (Luke 14:16-20).  They all began “to make exuses”, indicating they really didn’t have a reason for not attending.  The excuses were lame and unreasonable.  Times have not changed.  Man continues to make excuses for his failures and shortcomings.  God, on the other hand in Romans 1:20 KJV, says man is “without excuse”!
