Leland Maples runs the LOOP’s Ministries (Loved Ones Of Prisoners) and leads a Thursday night bible study held in the Rec Room at Life Change Baptist Church in Odessa Texas.  The Rec Room message on Thursday, December 23, 2011 was entitled “The Unopened Gift” and was given by Leland.  Special music was by Charles Reynolds.

The message covers 1 Corinthians 9:15 and gives an introduction on wages, loans, time and chance as referenced in Ecclesiastes 9:11

1. God’s gift was given in love – John 3:16
2. God’s gift was bought with a price – 1 Corinthians 6:20
3. God’s gift is personal
4. God’s gift can be refused

Ecclesiastes 9:11 KJV 11 I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.
