Leland Maples runs the LOOP’s Ministries (Loved Ones Of Prisoners) and leads a Thursday night bible study held in the Rec Room at Life Change Baptist Church in Odessa Texas.  The Rec Room message on Thursday, February 23, 2012 was entitled “The Cost of Compromise” and was given by Leland.  Special music was by Cathy Thomason.

God had warned Israel about a king (Dueteronomy  17:16-17.) Israel wanted to be like other nations (1 Samuel 10:19) Solomon multiplied gold, horses and wives (1 Kings 10:27, 28; 1 Kings 11:1)

1. Solomon loved his wives
2. Solomon disobeyed God
3. Solomon became a dedicated idolator
