Leland Maples runs the LOOP’s Ministries (Loved Ones Of Prisoners) and leads a Thursday night bible study held in the Rec Room at Life Change Baptist Church in Odessa Texas.  The Rec Room message on Thursday, July 5, 2012 was entitled “Three Servants Who Would Not Serve” and was given by Leland.  Special music was by Charles Reynolds.

The message convers Luke 9:57-62 where Jesus dealt with three servants who wouldn’t serve

1. The First Man – Jesus had nothing to do with him
2. The Second Man – Invited by Christ, “… me first…” Christ was offering life.
3. The Third Man – Volunteered on his own terms; “but le me first…” As soon as I get through…

57 And it came to pass, that, as they went in the way, a certain man said unto him, Lord, I will follow thee whithersoever thou goest.  58 And Jesus said unto him, Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head. 59 And he said unto another, Follow me.
