Lessons

The lesson on May 11, 2014 was part 26 of the “Ephesians” study.  The lesson started with a review of what was learned in the previous lesson regarding our walk.  Walk appears in Ephesians 7 times.  The passages in Ephesians 5 were 2 regarding walk and it was pointed out the our walk should be a sweet smelling savor to the Lord, and not man.  The second walk in Ephesians 5 is to walk accurately.  There is no way the a Christian can walk accurately without right division.  We should walk as children in light.  We looked at the word “redeeming” which is to take control of the events around you.  You should seize the opportunity of opportunities around you.  This was displayed very well by the founding fathers of America.  The new material covered in this lesson looks the word “will” which also occurs 7 times in Ephesians.  The scripture reading was in Ephesians 5:28-33 KJV “28 So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself. 29 For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church: 30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones. 31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. 32 This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church. 33 Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.”
