Lessons

The lesson on June 15, 2014 was a message on Father’s Day teaching about the Father’s Will.  This message is not part of a study but is one that celebrates Father’s Day in America and looks at some passages that will teach us something about the Father’s Will.  In Matthew 4, we learn of the Son’s temptation in the wilderness being tempted by the devil for 40 days and nights and we see his response is always with the word of God in context and powerfully answers the devil.. “in scripture…” Jesus responds. The devil has his armor and well as Jesus.  We learn that the devil also uses the word of God but usually out of context, in an inappropriate way, from a wrong perspective.  That is another big lesson in that the enemy will weild the sword and do much damage to those who don’t understand right division. We learned in Matthew 4:17 that Galilee was were Jesus began to preach the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand.  We learn about the differences between the Kingdom of God and Kingdom of Heaven vs. Heavenly Places.  Further, this lesson teaches us about the calling Jesus gave to the 12 apostles regarding “fishers of men”, particularly speaking to the net and provides insights around the Father’s Will.  The scripture reading was in Ephesians 1:3-5 KJV

“3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: 4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: 5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,”
