The lesson on October 12, 2014 was part 4 of the “First Corinthians” study.  This lesson looked at baptism comparing the many baptisms found in the old testament and new testament, particularly that of water baptism, compared to the one baptism taught by the Apostle PAul in Ephesians 4:4-6 KJV “4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; 5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.  Something changed at the end of Acts and we learn that PAul was given a secret to reveal to the Gentiles. We learn of this change through right division. The scripture reading was in Isaiah 29:13-14 KJV

“13 Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men: 14 Therefore, behold, I will proceed to do a marvellous work among this people, even a marvellous work and a wonder: for the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the understanding of their prudent men shall be hid.”
