The lesson on February 1, 2015 was part 16 in the “First Corinthians” study. Chapter seven involves things regarding marriage. We found in Chapter six that the body is NOT for fornication but for the Lord and the Lord for the body- fornication is seen as a sin against the body and is a serious violation of God’s will because it is a violation of body functionality and purpose set aside for marriage. When Paul talks about not touching a woman, this is referring to a sensual touch and the kind that relates directly to marriage.  Paul puts more value in marriage between and man and a woman than just that of avoiding fornication. The husband “to give back” the thing which is owed with good will to the wife and similarly the wife to the husband. There is duty in this as well as love and puts sex in a very different light than what is seen in the world and offered up in the movie theatres of this age.  The scripture reading was from 1 Corinthians 7:1-5 KJV.  

“1 Now concerning the things whereof ye wrote unto me: It is good for a man not to touch a woman. 2 Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband. 3 Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence: and likewise also the wife unto the husband. 4 The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife. 5 Defraud ye not one the other, except it be with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency.”
