Lessons

The lesson on May 10, 2015 was part 28 of the “First Corinthians” study.  Paul praises the corinthian assembly for keeping the traditions that Paul had delivered unto them but he does not praise them on how they perform the tradition of communion with the Lord’s Supper. We further learn how what Paul is teaching the Corinthian church is based on the Acts period.  When Acts 28:28 judgement occurred, all the traditions changed and we now have the substance, which is the head of the one body, Christ Jesus. PAul later tells us in Colossians 2, that we shouldn’t be concerned with the traditions of man and the rudiments of the world, but rather realize that we have Christ.  The scripture reading was from 1 Corinthians 11:17-19 KJV

“17 Now in this that I declare unto you I praise you not, that ye come together not for the better, but for the worse. 18 For first of all, when ye come together in the church, I hear that there be divisions among you; and I partly believe it. 19 For there must be also heresies among you, that they which are approved may be made manifest among you.”
