The lesson on May 31, 2015 was part 30 of the “First Corinthians” study.  This lesson continues in chapter twelve and continues to use the analogy of a spiritual prison if you try to follow what Paul is teaching in Corinthians, seeing that it is an Acts book promoting Acts period traditions and commandments that don’t translate to the post-Acts period.  When you look at Paul’s ministries, you have to rightly divide Paul and PAul.  The latter being the reference to Paul’s prison ministry which occurred after Acts 28:28.  PAul was given a secret to be revealed that was hid in God, before the foundation of the world.  Corinthians will keep the context of the Acts period which means the Jew was first and the Gentiles were brought in as a grafted olive branch to promote Israel to jealousy.  When comparing Corinthians to Ephesians and Colossians, you can plainly see how the Jewish picture book falls away to the reality of the substance, which is Christ, the head of the one body.  Christ is the head in Ephesians and Colossians, which is a separate body than the one that was described in Corinthians.  The scripture reading was from 1 Corinthians 12:12-17 KJV

“12 For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ. 13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. 14 For the body is not one member, but many. 15 If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body? 16 And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body? 17 If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling?”
