The lesson on August 16, 2015 was part 36 of the “First Corinthians” study.  This lesson dives into chapter 15 where many topics were covered rather thoroughly.  In this lesson, you will learn about the Mystery of Christ which was progressively revealed in the Old Testament scripture and then the Mystery which was revealed after Acts 28 and built as the capstone on the mystery of Christ.  Wayne takes time to explain the Greek in this chapter to show how revelation and scriptural witness worked hand in hand. Though ostensibly and initially difficult, the metaphor presented by Paul in 1 Cor.15:8 was clarified and simplified when it was explained in the context of Paul’s first ministry with respect to Israel.  The scripture reading was from 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 KJV

“1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:”
