The lesson on October 11, 2015 was part 44 and the last in the “First Corinthians” study.  A quick review of the previous lesson covered when death is covered up in victory with the resurrection.  We also learned that Christ’s body did not see corruption.  This final lesson looked at how Paul wraps up his letters and reviewing all the individuals he mentions by name and what they brought to the ministry in the Corinthian church.  We are encouraged to do the work of Paul as he says Timothy was doing, even though he was a young man.  We can do the work of Paul if we understand his ministry rightly divided.  We do not have the gifts that Paul had during the Acts period.  We should emulate PAul’s prison ministry which was revealed after Acts 28.  The scripture reading was in 1 Corinthians 16:10-13 KJV

“10 Now if Timotheus come, see that he may be with you without fear: for he worketh the work of the Lord, as I also do. 11 Let no man therefore despise him: but conduct him forth in peace, that he may come unto me: for I look for him with the brethren. 12 As touching our brother Apollos, I greatly desired him to come unto you with the brethren: but his will was not at all to come at this time; but he will come when he shall have convenient time. 13 Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.”
