Lessons

The lesson on April 24, 2016 was part 18 of “The Apocalypse” study.  Wayne gave a review of the last lesson then moved on to identify the latter times of our dispensation vs. the last days of the revealed plan for Israel.  There are many scriptures during Acts that speak to the end times which is revealed in Revelation but those writers of the Old and New Testament up through Acts 28 did not see the dispensation we live in now because it was revealed to PAul after the close of Acts.  PAul then writes seven books (Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, Titus, Philemon, 1 and 2 Timothy) that pertain to us in this age and PAul describes the latter times which seems prevalent now.  We don’t know when our age will come to and end but we do know that the Return of Elijah is what starts the return to the revealed plan of God which involves the promises made to Israel.  The scripture reading was in Revelation 14:8-12 KJV

“8 And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication. 9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, 10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: 11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name. 12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.”
