The lesson on July 3, 2016 was part 27 of “The Apocalypse” study.  This also was mingled with thoughts on America’s Independence Day celebration.  Wayne gave a brief overview of the previous lesson where we learned about Sion or Zion being the center of Israel’s salvation in the Tribulation but he moved on to teach us about the different gospels in scripture.  The term “gospel” simply means good news but the mention of gospel in scripture dictates that you look at the context to see which good news is being proclaimed.  We looked at three different gospels to make it apparent that those who teach that there is only one gospel is in error.  The gospel of the Kingdom is different than the gospel of the death, burial and resurrection of Christ Jesus… even the gospel of the unsearchable riches of Christ.  The scripture reading was in Revelation 14:9-14 KJV

“9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, 10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: 11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name. 12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus. 13 And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them. 14 And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle.”
