The lesson on August 6, 2017 was part 24 of “The U, V and W of Right Division”.  Wayne opened up with some comments on current events, recognizing the failure of socialism and communism in Venezula but the moved onto Covenant Theology looking at the Covenant of Redemption, and how the Calvinist build their doctrine on, particularly around their five points represented by TULIP.  These are: “Total depravity”, which means all people by their own faculties are morally unable to choose to follow God.  “Unconditional election” asserts that God has chosen from eternity those whom he will bring to himself not based on their free choice. “Limited atonement”, this implies that only the sins of the elect were atoned for by Jesus’s death.  “Irresistible grace”, asserts that the saving grace of God is effectually applied to those whom he has determined to save (that is, the elect) “Perseverance of the saints”  asserts that since God is sovereign and his will cannot be frustrated by humans or anything else, those whom God has called into communion with himself will continue in faith until the end. Right Divison is the answer to all of these points and rejects everyone of them.  Wayne takes us through key scriptures that refute what these points are claiming.  The scripture reading was from Ephesians 1:1-14 KJV
