Lessons

The lesson on September 9, 2018 was part 9 of the “Practical Lessons and Right Division” study.  Wayne opened up with a chapter by chapter review of Ephesians.  From chapter 1, the major points were the Inheritance and predestination of God, the Greatness of his power to us who believe.  Being Far above all principality and power and The FATHER gave Him to be head over all things to church (the body, fullness).  Chapter 2 included the Reconciliation to God – we both have access unto the FATHER.  There is One Body created (one new man) and that it is a Building fitly framed – growth unto Holy Temple, which is the Habitation of God.  Chapter 3 we saw the Revelation of mystery and that Now unto principalities and powers we learn of the Purpose of the ages.  PAul says we should Bow my knee unto the FATHER … every family (patria) heaven and earth That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith.  Chapter 4 involved the Edifying of the body of Christ where we Grow up unto him and our Whole body fitly joined together.  Chapter 5 we are encouraged to be Followers of God.  This Sacrifice to God – is a sweet smelling (Sacrifice to the FATHER).  We learn of Submission, headship of the husband wife.  In Chapter 6, we learn further of how Children, Servants, Masters fall under the headship and that we should put on Armour of God – because we wrestle against principalities powers in heavenly places.  Finally we learn of how PAul used Tychicus to spread the word.  The scripture reading was in Ephesians 6:1-4 KJV

“1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right. 2 Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise;) 3 That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth. 4 And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.”
