The lesson on August 16, 2020 was part 9 of the “John’s Gospel” study.  In this lesson, Wayne proceeded to answer this weeks questions from the book  “Life Through His Name.  They are: 1.What are the three features in chapter 9 that make the purpose of the sign more evident? 2.What is the significance of the “Greek” word used in 10.6 and translated “parable”? 3.What are some of the core elements of the Lord’s ministry on earth that relate well to all? 4.Were the Jews united in opposition to Jesus and His teaching?12:41,42, Acts 28:31. and 5.Who are the other sheep? Matt.10:5,6;15:24.  The scripture reading was from John 12:37-42 KJV (There was a hardware error towards the end of the lesson in church so the master audio did not get saved.  Please excuse the audio quality).  

“37 But though he had done so many miracles before them, yet they believed not on him: 38 That the saying of Esaias the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spake, Lord, who hath believed our report? and to whom hath the arm of the Lord been revealed? 39 Therefore they could not believe, because that Esaias said again, 40 He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them. 41 These things said Esaias, when he saw his glory, and spake of him. 42 Nevertheless among the chief rulers also many believed on him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue:”
