The Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ (John 20:28) that Jesus Christ was the Word and the Word was God (John 1:1) that He was God manifest in the flesh (1 Timothy 3:16).

God is spirit.  When we consider the wonder of God, His infinity, and the glory of His awesome majesty, we must ask ourselves the question, "How can we ever comprehend Him?" But this unfathomable God, whose ways are described as being past finding out, has provided a way by which we can come to know enough about Him that is life saving to our mortal sinful souls. He has shed His light and His love; and this is bound up in the doctrine of Christ (2 John 9). Essentially God is Spirit (John 4:24), but in the New Testament He makes Himself known as God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, and each are ascribed with true Deity and given equal glory as a consequence. These three expressions of Himself equal the one and only true God, or God absolute (Hebrew Elohim); "I am the Lord, and there is no other; There is no God besides Me" (Isaiah 45:5).

The many divisions and varied opinions about this subject make it appear almost like a hopeless task, particularly so for the one who honestly tries to clear the air of all its entanglements. Nevertheless, we must do what we can.

Publishers are removing things from new Bibles! Publishers of modern Bible versions have been removing words, phrases, and even whole verses, but their readers are often unaware of it. Few people know the Bible well enough to notice when something has been taken out.

One Way . This lesson on July 13, 2003 is a recap of the Vacation Bible School that was held at Northside Bible Church. The theme of “One Way” was based on John 14:6 (KJV) “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” The analogy of road signs were used to identify certain truths in scripture so we could relate them to signs we would see while driving around town. A christian road map was used to take the kids on a journey to heaven and learn how to grow up as christins in the word of God along the way. A slide presentation was used along with the road map to relate road signs to scriptural truths. The journey is based on 2 Timothy 3:16 (KJV)

The 2002 Northside Bible Church VBS Camp theme was “God’s Groceries”. The verse selected representing the theme was Philippians 1:11 (KJV) - “Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.”

This theme allowed for bible lessons to be built around truths in scripture that could be identified with items found in a Grocery Store. For example, topics like milk, bread, fruit, and meat:

"THE MYSTERY As An Adjunct to the Dispensation of Grace

Mystery, An Adjunct to Dispensation of GraceTo me, "Grace is the energizing force of God's love toward all who will receive it." Others have said it is "God's love in action." Webster's Dictionary defines grace, in its theological setting, as "the unmerited love and favor of God toward man," etc. Just pick the one you like best!

The fact is that every dispensation of God is an adjunct to Grace; for without Grace, whether it be The Revealed Plan or The Hidden Purpose, (see our papers, "My Gospel" and "The Mystery - As is Now Revealed") they would not - - nor could they - - function. Take, for example, the case of Cain and Abel. Abel was accepted (Gen. 4:4, Heb. 11:4), and Cain was rejected (Gen. 4:3, 5-25). It follows, Cain and Abel would typify The Revealed Plan; whereas Eph. 2:8a ("for by grace you are") would typify The Hidden Purpose. As you can see, Grace is not a new means of God's activity, but is as old as time.{C}

"THE MYSTERY" Its Reality, The Practical Side (Ephesians Chapters 4 through 6)

The Mystery, Its Reality, The Practical SideSince The Mvstery is a body of many truths addressed to God's people (Col. 1:26), the practical side would of necessity have to do with the walk. "As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in Him." (Col. 2:6) The instructions in this context are no less forthright: "Work out your own salvation (deliverance) for it is God who is energizing you to His purposes." (Phil. 2:12, 13 and 16).  The walk that is worthy begins in meekness and endeavors to keep (not create) the unity of the Spirit (Eph. 4:1-3). Thus, Faith-Obedience in the walk turns on seven distinct fundamental points of stewardship (Eph. 4:4-6). These seven points will be discussed at the end of this article.{C}{C}{C}{C}

The Mystery, Its Prophetic Content"THE MYSTERY" - Its Prophetic Content (I Tim. 4:1-5; II Tim. 3:1-9)  PART I.  "Now the Spirit in spoken words says that in the latter times (specific) some will depart (apostasize) the faith, attending to seducing (planetary) spirits and teachings of demons, in men of hypocrisy speaking lies having been branded on their own conscience; forbidding to marry, to abstain from foods, which God created to be received with thanksgiving by them who believe and know the truth. Because every creature is good and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving: For it is sanctified by the Word of God and prayer." (Free Translation - I Tim. 4:1-5 - very literal.)

“God’s Plan of Salvation” (II Cor. 5:19-21)

"To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto Himself, not imputing theirtrespasses unto them; ...we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.

For He hath made HIM (Christ) sin for us, who (Christ) knew no sin; (in order) that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him." (II Cor. 5:19-21)

"The Faith" - God's gift - a revelation given for the recipient to believe (vs. 19, 21).

"Personal Faith" -The recipient's response - the Affirmative: SINS forgiven. The Negative: otherwise (vs. 20).
