The lesson on April 6, 2014 was part 22 of the "Ephesians" study.  This lesson reviewed the three things taught from part 21.  Those were:  1) This ministry involves a readjustment to the newly (ACTS 28) created and un‐prophesied body of Christ. 2) There are 4 gifts to the church in verse 4:11.  There are 2 foundational and readable TODAY and there are 2 on going that exist TODAY!!; and 3) These gifts have a threefold purpose: A. Perfecting of the saints B. Work of the ministry, and C. Edifying of the body of Christ.  Then the lesson continued teaching that right division is the great...

The lesson on April 13, 2014 was part 23 of the "Ephesians" study.  A review was provided of last weeks lesson but a new methodology was presented on how to analyze if a change has occured.  Wayne is a Dr. in Mathematics and teaches statistics at the University of Oklahoma and he is able to apply statistical analysis to the question "Has a change occurred?".  He teaches how those who believe there are no differences, this group is referred to the Null hypotheses.  It is the skeptics position.  The other group is referred to as the Alternate group.  This is the researchers hunch.  Wayne...

The message on April 20, 2014 was on the resurrection of Jesus Christ in celebration of Easter. It is such an important event to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ.  The idea of an empty grave and Jesus Christ victory over death is unique to Christianity.  We witness ourselves getting older and dying, day by day just by getting older but Jesus defeated death and allows us victory.  We read in scripture that Jesus Christ was sent to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.  However, we learn through right division that the risen Christ Jesus called the Paul to become the apostle to...

The lesson on April 27, 2014 was part 24 of the "Ephesians" study.  This lesson opens up review the Null Hypothesis used when evaluating something changed at Acts 28.  We learned that if you move the border anywhere in Acts, the argument that nothing changed holds true.  However, when you cross the boundary of Acts 28 and you come to Ephesians, we find that enormous things have changed.  There is a new hope, a new man, a new body (where Christ is the head).  Further, there are no signs and wonders where Israel is being judged (Lo-Ammi).  There are 3 points that this lesson teaches:  1) You...

May 4th, 2014

The lesson on May 4, 2014 was part 25 of the "Ephesians" study.  A review was given of the three points we learned from the last lesson.  These were 1) There is a way to learn Christ.  This instance is on the balance with deeds and works but the emphasis is on the pattern when Paul talks about the form of sound words. 2) Renewal occurs in your mind first before the body. And 3) Putting away lying or the lie.  We looked at the structure in Ephesians 4.  This lesson emphasized the walk and we looked at the 7 times walking is referenced in Ephesians.  Walking, redeeming, and submitting was...

The lesson on May 11, 2014 was part 26 of the "Ephesians" study.  The lesson started with a review of what was learned in the previous lesson regarding our walk.  Walk appears in Ephesians 7 times.  The passages in Ephesians 5 were 2 regarding walk and it was pointed out the our walk should be a sweet smelling savor to the Lord, and not man.  The second walk in Ephesians 5 is to walk accurately.  There is no way the a Christian can walk accurately without right division.  We should walk as children in light.  We looked at the word "redeeming" which is to take control of the events around...

The lesson on May 18, 2014 was part 27 of the "Ephesians" study.  There are 3 points covered in this lesson which are 1) A great mystery. Where we learn that marriage between a husband and wife is an example of a working out of the greater spiritual truth of Christ and the church 2) Around fathers and their place in the family and 3) Servants and their behavior and how they should work so that they are pleasing unto the Lord, and not man. We leaned about the greek word that means "to submit" and why wives submit to their husbands as the husbands do to Christ. There is a sixfold submission...

Ephesians - Part 28

The lesson on May 25, 2014 was part 28 of the "Ephesians" study and celebrated Memorial Day in the America by studying the whole armor of God.  The lesson started with a review of Ephesians in how it was written by the Apostle PAul as a prisoner of Jesus Christ post Acts 28 when he was now authorized to preach to the Gentiles first. PAul wrote 6 chapters in Ephesians and it is perfectly balanced where the first three chapters are doctrinal truth for our age today and the last three chapters are the practical section showing us how to walk today.  This lesson then covered the whole armor of...

The lesson on June 1, 2014 was part 29 and the last one in the "Ephesians" study.  Wayne finished the study with a challenge to all of us to be more bold in our verbal witness just like PAul did who was asking for prayer that he may be bold in his witness for the gospel of peace. This study has shown the doctrinal side and practical of Ephesians and how to identify the prison ministry of PAul.  When you finally see the difference between Paul's two ministries, you have struck gold!  This lesson is a great summary and this study series is complete. The scripture reading was from Ephesians 6...

The Father's Will

The lesson on June 15, 2014 was a message on Father's Day teaching about the Father's Will.  This message is not part of a study but is one that celebrates Father's Day in America and looks at some passages that will teach us something about the Father's Will.  In Matthew 4, we learn of the Son's temptation in the wilderness being tempted by the devil for 40 days and nights and we see his response is always with the word of God in context and powerfully answers the devil.. "in scripture..." Jesus responds. The devil has his armor and well as Jesus.  We learn that the devil also uses the...
