Lessons

The lesson on March 25, 2018 was part 1 of a new study called “Acts 29 – Paul’s latter ministries and journey(s)”.  This study followed the Mid-Acts or Acts 28 study where it left us wanting to put a magnifying glass on the Acts 28 timeline because we learned that in Acts 28:30-31 that Paul dwelt two whole years in his own hired house, and received all that came in unto him, 31 Preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching those things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence, no man forbidding him.  When did the revelation of The Mystery occur?  This first lesson sets the parameters of this study.  Wayne explains how a spiritual model should be based on truth and he shared his Acts 28 model to be tested with this study.  We also started answering the questions offered up that focused more on PAul’s state of freedom or being a prisoner and who was with him and where.  The scripture reading was from Acts 16:9-13 KJV

“9 And a vision appeared to Paul in the night; There stood a man of Macedonia, and prayed him, saying, Come over into Macedonia, and help us.10 And after he had seen the vision, immediately we endeavored to go into Macedonia, assuredly gathering that the Lord had called us for to preach the gospel unto them. 11 Therefore loosing from Troas, we came with a straight course to Samothracia, and the next day to Neapolis; 12 And from thence to Philippi, which is the chief city of that part of Macedonia, and a colony: and we were in that city abiding certain days. 13 And on the sabbath we went out of the city by a river side, where prayer was wont to be made; and we sat down, and spake unto the women which resorted thither.”
