Lessons

The lesson on April 8, 2018 was part 2 of the “Acts 29” study. This week Wayne recaped the idea of studying Paul’s movements after the close of Acts and in doing so following a model which may need to be updated if we find additional information to update our prior position.  Wayne displayed his previous model focusing on Acts 28:28 and the revelation of The Mystery.  In association with this belief was the term “the body of Christ” referred to us after Acts 28 and the mention of that in Corinthians was okay because they just got grafted in after Acts 28.  Wayne declared that this prior belief is wrong and his new position is the revelation of The Mystery occurred some time after Acts 28 and this study is to pin down the movements of Paul to ascertain how calling revealed in Ephesians 3 impacted to previous callings that had now transitioned after Acts.  Wayne starts to introduce us to the gap between Acts 28 and Ephesians 2.  The scripture reading was from Isaiah 6:9-13 KJV

“9 And he said, Go, and tell this people, Hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not. 10 Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed. 11 Then said I, Lord, how long? And he answered, Until the cities be wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land be utterly desolate, 12 And the Lord have removed men far away, and there be a great forsaking in the midst of the land.13 But yet in it shall be a tenth, and it shall return, and shall be eaten: as a teil tree, and as an oak, whose substance is in them, when they cast their leaves: so the holy seed shall be the substance thereof.”
