Acts Period timing of the Corinthian Letters. Paul’s missionary journeys provide us a chronological road map to much of the Acts Period epistles. Paul was used by God to write 14 of the New Testament books. The first seven were written during the Acts Period, while the last seven (Eph , Phil, Col, 1 & 2 Tim, Titus, & Philemon) were written after Acts. 1 & 2 Corinthians were part of the first seven. Understanding when books of the Bible are written is very important for the proper interpretation of scripture and an important principle for right division. The lesson on 10-14 helps you pinpoint when 1 & 2 Corinthians was written as well as the subject matter in context in relation to Israel. A map was used during the lesson, click here to download the map in PDF format. Three important topics were being discussed during this timeframe in Acts: 1) the New Covenant, 2) Resurrection, and 3) False Apostles. Click here to listen to the lesson of the week.
