The lesson on January 5, 2014 was part 12 of the “Ephesians” study.  The lesson covered chapter 3 through verse 9.  The lesson started with a review of previous truths learned from previous lessons.  Topic like “time” was discussed in that there is prophetic time in the bible associated with Israel.  When they are disobedient and were in servitude, the prophetic clock would stop while regular time was still running.  The prophetic clock has stopped now because at Acts 28:28, Israel was divorced.  There will be a time when God deals with Israel again and the prophetic clock with start again.  The time we are in now is very special because it is specifically addressed to the Gentiles and the doctrine revealed by PAul the prisoner is called The Mystery.  This body of truth was hidden in God before the foundation of the world.  PAul the prisoner of Christ Jesus is the Apostle to the Gentiles and he gives us our calling for today.  The distance and enmity that previously existed is gone because we are given the status of being his body, where Christ is the head, and our citizenship is in the heavenlies, far above all principalities and powers.  It’s these heavenly places that contain principalities and powers that are viewing us as a witness to the manifold wisdom of God. The scripture reading was from Ephesians 3:1-9 KJV “1 For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you Gentiles, 2 If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to youward: 3 How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words, 4 Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ) 5 Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit; 6 That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel: 7 Whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power. 8 Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ; 9 And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:”
