The lesson on February 9, 2014 was part 16 of the “Ephesians” study.  The lesson started with a review of previous material and looked at chapter 3, verse 9 in the context of fellowship.  The best way to look at fellowship is to look at all the words which comes from the translation of Greek word “κοινωνία”.  Communion, contribution, distribution, communication and fellowship are come from this Greek word.  If you are not in fellowship with common causes, you will not be able to contribute in building something together.  PAul is the one that is teaching the unsearchable riches of Christ to demonstrate the manifold wisdom of God to the principalities and powers by the church!  The church is the instrument by which God is using to instruct this group in the heavens about his wisdom!  The main issue for this lesson is to learn how groups of Christians have certain callings and inheritance.  You may be a Christian having heard the gospel of your salvation, but they may not have heard the gospel of the unsearchable riches of Christ, so they will not receive the inheritance of this gospel.  Christians may have heard of this gospel and rejected it.  We should not be upset because we are only to be faithful to share and teach this gospel to build a fellowship.  You can only build fellowship where there is an agreement.  They are still Christians so the Lord may have another purpose for them.  The scripture reading was from Matthew 22:1-10 KJV “1 And Jesus answered and spake unto them again by parables, and said, 2 The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son, 3 And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come. 4 Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come unto the marriage. 5 But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise: 6 And the remnant took his servants, and entreated them spitefully, and slew them. 7 But when the king heard thereof, he was wroth: and he sent forth his armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city. 8 Then saith he to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy. 9 Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage. 10 So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with guests.”
