Lessons

The lesson on January 18, 2015 was part 14 of the “First Corinthians” study and continued in chapter six.  This chapter continues to instruct the Corinthian church to grow in love with all knowledge and judgement.  Corinthians was a very carnal church and Paul goes into specifics on 4 types of sexual sin and one other and Paul is emphasizing they should not behave this way if they want to inherit the kingdom of God.  God hates sin He specifically hates effeminate and abusers of themselves with mankind (which was seen in (Sodom and Gomorrah).  The scripture reading was in 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 KJV

“9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, 10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. 11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.”
