Leland Maples runs the LOOP’s Ministries (Loved Ones Of Prisoners) and leads a Thursday night bible study held in the Rec Room at Life Change Baptist Church in Odessa Texas.  The Rec Room message on Thursday, April 14, 2011 was entitled “Forgiveness” and was given by guest pastor Doug Herget, of Odessa Tabernacle Family Life Center in Odessa, TX.  Special music was by Cathy Thomason.

The message Doug gave was on forgiveness and based on scriptures from Mark 11:25, 26; Matthew 5:23-24; 6:14-15; and 1 Peter 2:21-23 KJV

Mark 11:25-26 KJV “25 And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. 26 But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.”

Matt 5:23-24 KJV “23 Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee; 24 Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.”

Matt 6:14-15 KJV 14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: 15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

1 Peter 2:21-23 KJV “21 For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps: 22 Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth: 23 Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously:”
