Lessons

The lesson on April 10, 2011 was the 31st lesson in the “From the Beginning” study and started with the scripture Matthew 16:21-23 KJV “21 From that time forth began Jesus to shew unto his disciples, how that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day. 22 Then Peter took him, and began to rebuke him, saying, Be it far from thee, Lord: this shall not be unto thee. 23 But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men.” We learn that Jesus began to teach his disciples prophecy in verse 21 because the nation of Israel rejected the King and the kingdom.  It’s popular to say that Jesus can return at any moment.  This cannot be true because of what Jesus taught.  There are three distinct periods of time specified after the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus.  This lesson teaches on these three periods and conditions that need to take place prior to his return.  Listen to learn more!
