The lesson on August 11, 2019 was part 19 of the “Genesis” study.  Pastor Wayne returned from his holiday after visiting Rio de Janeiro in Brazil and then Barcelona, Spain.  He shared how they visited Christ the Redeemer statue of Jesus Christ in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.  It was crowded and difficult to get a good picture.  It is unfortunate that Brazio is a crime ridden country and they were warned to watch their bags carefully while they toured Rio.  The second leg of their holiday took them to Barcelona.  Wayne was excited to research the Apostile Paul’s undocumented missionary journey that was taken during Acts 29.  Hence, we took some time in this lesson to look at his comments of his desire to visit Spain while in Rome and that he had hoped the church in Rome would support him to visit.  Paul had to first support the Gentiles in Jerusalem which is what he was called to do, mission to the Jew first and also to the Gentiles.  The second half of the lesson we studied the trees in the Garden of Eden and Wayne was explaining the all the trees were good, even the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.  It is quite possibile that God would have used that tree with Adam and Eve and come future time but Satan caused Eve to try it too soon and attacked the word of God in doing so.  The scripture reading was from Genesis 2:18-25 KJV

“18 And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. 19 And out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof. 20 And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him. 21 And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; 22 And the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. 23 And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. 24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh. 25 And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.”
