The lesson on February 3, 2019 was part 2 of the “Genesis” Study. In this lesson Wayne looks at the recreation of God’s original perfect creation.  We looked at the Hebrew letter Aleph (א) that is part of every word in the first verse execept for the word “heavens”.  The Hebrew Letter Aleph (א) is the first letter in the Hebrew alphabet. The letter Aleph is actually the source of the Greek letter Alpha, as you can see by the similarities in the two letters’ names, and the English letter “A”, is therefore ultimately derived from Aleph, as well. The letter Aleph is one of the most important and noteworthy letters in the Hebrew alphabet for a number of reasons, some spiritual and some practical.  Understanding the importance of first use is important because it shows how God created but indirectly shows the heavens is something that is being refashioned instead of being created. Aleph is associated with God and the name man in Hebrew starts with Aleph because mankind was created in the image of God.  We learned of God dwelling in Heaven that are separate from the Heavens and Earth which were created.  Wayne looked at the firmament that was created to separate the heavens and the earth.  He also had us consider the light and the creation of day and night.  The scripture reading was from Genesis 1:6-8 KJV

“6 And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. 7 And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so. 8 And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.”
