Lessons

This lesson was taught on May 31, 2020 and was part 57 of the “Genesis” study and was the final lesson in the study.  Wayne opens explaining that we will end the study in Genesis because he has been moved by the spirit to take on the Gospel of John because it is particular and will help him solve some of the issues he has been wotking on.  Wayne then piccks up from the previous lesson explaing how we have looked at the hope of Abraham in relation to the second coming. Wayne reminds us that there are three clear adoptions as sons.  One to receive with the Earth as an inheritance, one to deal with inheriting the Heavens and the third to inherit the heavenly places. We then look at the passages that Paul wrote to describe his appearing and the consequences.  Paul used the same Greek word 2 Thessalonians, 2 Timothy and Titus.  Wayne expressed that it being the same author creates a linkage and he then explains his “oil and water” doctrine in that this age and any other age can’t comingle.  However, with the second coming of Christ, that is not unique to one age in that we are all looking for his appearing.  That is why it will occur in phases as mentioned in the previous lesson.  Wayne wrote a blog to further assist us in understanding the phases of the second coming.  The hope is realized through resurrection. And the resurrection that people get in the Acts was based on Abraham’s hope. We then look at a map of Abraham’s journey and the ramifications of his delay in Haran to get to the promise land in the land of Caanan.  Abraham did make it to the promised land but it was now filled with the Caananites.  We learned of the Prison Epistles being four of the seven books PAul wrote after Acts (those being Ephesians, Philippians, Philemon, Colossians, and 2 Timothy) and Wayne walks us through the epistles that were written when he was free. we then ended with Matthew 22 where Wayne explained his idea of having two dispensations running at the same time.  The scripture reading was from Genesis 13:14-18 KJV
