Lessons

The lesson on July 12, 2020 was part 4 of “John’s Gospel” study. At the start of the lesson, Wayne shared a video entitled “God and Mathematics” that was created by Dr. Wiiliam Lane Craig of the ReasonableFaith.org and asked us to view as extra credit.  Continuing with the study in “Life Through His Name”, Wayne reviewed the three sendings of the marriage of Matthew 22.  He then answered the following questions that came in chapter four of book “Life Through His Name”: 1.In what way was Jesus like the temple? 2.Nicodemus was a Pharisee and ruler of the people – how is this significant? 3.For God “so” loved the world. Does this signify the greatness of God’s love? 4.“To perish” means? 5.What is the “Pearl of Great Price”? 6. The first two invitations of Matt 22 were to whom? and 7.The last invitation of Matt 22 was to whom? The scripture reading was from Matthew 13:44-46 KJV

“44 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field. 45 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls: 46 Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.”
